Wishing to see a lot but without being totally worn-out? This well-balanced itinerary will be ideal for you! It is a happy medium between our leisurely-paced Basic Tour and the most active itinerary of the Comprehensive Tour. Along with the breath-taking views of Catherine’s Palace and Peterhoff Fountain Park, you will get acquainted with the vast art collections and treasures of the Hermitage Museum*, walk around the cobblestones of the Peter and Paul Fortress territory, and visit two remarkable venues – colorful onion-domed Church on the Spilt Blood and solid St. Isaac’s Cathedral. You will then be intrigued by a visit to the Yusupov Palace revealing the mysterious circumstances of Rasputin’s assassination, and have some time to get the feeling of the inspiring historical city center!
*The Hermitage visit does not include the Impressionist and Post Impressionist collection which moved to the General Staff Building.
