2 Day Comprehensive Tour (Private)

If you wish to “have it all” during the 2-day stay and not afraid of being totally exhausted by the end of the day – then this tour is just for you. You will have the maximum of what could be squeezed into this very limited time frame. During your extensive city highlights tour you will visit Peter and Paul Cathedral behind the massive walls of Peter and Paul Fortress and magnificent St. Isaac’s Cathedral. On your way to the suburbs you will take a subway (metro) ride and see the most beautiful and spectacular stations in the world. The next part of the tour is the visit to the most famous summer Royal residences – legendary Peterhoff summer estate nestled cozily along the Gulf of Finland, and a favorite residence of Catherine the Great – Catherine’s Palace with the impressive Amber Room as the main “gem” of it. You won’t miss a visit to the immense Hermitage Museum* containing one of the richest art collections and artifacts. Then, you will reveal the mystery of Rasputin’s assassination hidden inside the halls of the Yusupov Palace owned by one of the most prosperous aristocratic dynasties in the city, the Yusupovs. Tired but totally happy you will return onboard after two full days of adventures.

*The Hermitage visit does not include the Impressionist and Post Impressionist collection which moved to the General Staff Building.
