What are your lunch options during the tour?
If you are booked on our Best Value Tour – you should not worry about your meals as they are already included into the itinerary and the cost. On the day you are in the downtown you will have a traditional Russian lunch in one of the local restaurants of our choice and on the day you are in the suburbs you will have a packed lunch which you will be able to eat on the van or on the grounds of the Park area.

On other types of tours meals are not included. If your party is not large (2-6 people) there is no need to reserve lunches in advance. You may just pick up a place to eat right along the way and eat there quite fast and tasty.
If your group is over 6, we would recommend you to think of your lunches reserved in advance especially in the suburbs. The choice of cafes/restaurants there is quite limited and there may be the lack of free places for large groups. So if you reserve a set lunch at one of the local suburban restaurants in advance you will save your touring time.

In the city the situation with the search of place to eat is easier. There are a lot of cafes where you will be served fast and choose things from the menu that would be suitable for you. Or again if you would like we may arrange set lunch for you in advance at one of the local restaurants. Just let us know in advance!
Do you offer special/vegetarian menu?
Yes, we do. Please, inform us on any dietary restrictions you have in advance so we could discuss the lunch options for you in particular. I. e. if you are a vegetarian – we will exclude meat/fish dishes from your menu and substitute it with vegetables, cheese, fruits etc. Just let us know in advance so we could have time for proper arrangements. Thank you!
Do I need Rubles to pay for lunches?
Yes, you will need Rubles to pay for your meals. Some of the cafes may not accept foreign currency or credit cards for payments. The cost of one lunch/meal at one of the local cafes is about 300-500 RUR per person depending on what you order. It will not be a problem to get Rubles here in St. Petersburg. Just let the guide know that you need Russian currency and she will show you the place where you may get it. It won’t take long. Or you may take care of it in advance onboard, for example.
Do your tours allow time for shopping?
Yes, there is some time allowed for shopping during the tour (40min – 1 hour). The guide will take you to one of the local stores along the way. Depending on the time you have and actual situation in the city she may choose the once that is conveniently located. You may also find some souvenir vendors next to many attractions you will be visiting.
What currency do I need to pay for souvenirs?
As for souvenirs, it will be fine to pay for them in US dollars cash or Euros (small vendors in the city do accept them). Larger souvenir stores accept credit cards. So, Rubles are not that necessary for your shopping.
